Why can't I see the files copied from PC on my iPad?

This is the restriction of iPhone / iPad from Apple. Normally, iPhone/iPad app can only access the data in its private sandbox, so You can't view the file on you iPad outside an app's sandbox directly with the app. If iPhone / iPad with jailbreaking, you can copy files directly to app's sandbox.
